This privacy policy describes, pursuant to and in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 on personal data protection (the “Code”), the methods and purposes for which data given by website users are managed.
This is prepared in compliance with Article 13 of the Code as well as in consideration of Recommendation no. 2/2001 regarding the minimum requirements for collecting online data in the European Union, adopted on 17th May by the EC Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and is addressed to everyone who accesses the website. Everything set out in this privacy policy, unless otherwise indicated, only applies to the website. The Site Managers and Authors are not responsible for the contents of third-party websites that are directly or indirectly linked, even where links exist on our site.

Data will be processed by the business’s employees or any contract workers engaged by the business, in their role as representatives authorised to process data or as Data Processors. 2. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

Simply looking at our website does not lead in itself to users’ personal data being collected or processed except for those data regarding navigation and cookies. Please see the next section of this document for their significance for privacy purposes. If the data provided by a user include those belonging to third parties, the user guarantees Mazzoleni S.p.A. that he or she has obtained consent from the third party for the collection and processing of data.

The purposes of processing are completion of subscription and subsequent execution, the sending of messages concerning registration and its operation and, following specific user consent being given, sending promotional material and material that illustrates products/services and, where present, website newsletters.

3. METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING

Processing will be carried out through the use of tools and procedures that guarantee the security and confidentiality of data in compliance with legislation and may be carried out both online and offline. Specific security measures are taken to prevent loss of, illegal or improper use of and unauthorised access to data.

4. CONSENT

During registration, users are invited to view the privacy policy provided in accordance with the Code and to confirm that they give consent to the processing of data given at the time of registration, for the reasons described on a case by case basis. This consent and the provision of data identified as such are obligatory for the purposes of completing registration to the site and the use of services connected with registration; conversely, consent will be optional with regard to the issuance of promotional and/or information material concerning Mazzoleni S.p.A.’s activities and products/services.

5. SCOPE OF DISCLOSURE OF DATA

Personal data provided by users will be processed by Mazzoleni S.p.A. or by entities appointed by the company as Data Processors or representatives authorised to process personal data. Data will also be communicated to third-party entities tasked with providing services connected with website activities and the execution of contractual obligations assumed through them, who archive and process data to enable the execution of the service requested to each third-party entity. Particularly, these are technological and telematic service providers, logistics service providers, payment system and service managers.

6. NAVIGATION DATA

During standard operation, the computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire some personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This is information which is not collected in order to be associated to identified data subjects, but which, by its very nature, could allow users to be identified through the processing of and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes: IP addresses or the domain names of computers used by users who connect to the website, URI addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to make the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response provided by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and users’ computing environment.

This data will not be disclosed but will only be used to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it functions correctly; the data will be stored for the length of time defined by legislation on the subject. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the website.

7. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Users have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence of data and to know their contents and origin, to know the purposes and methods of processing, to know – where processing is carried out electronically – the logic applied to this processing, to verify the correctness of data or request its supplementation or amendment, or correction (Article 7, Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). In accordance with the same Article, users have the right to request deletion, anonymisation or blocking of processed data found to be in violation of legislation, and, in any event, to oppose the processing of data, for legitimate reasons. Users’ personal data will be processed in compliance with and will be governed by Italian Law (Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). 8. COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their devices, where they are stored and then retransmitted to these sites on subsequent visits. Third-party cookies are set by a different website from that which the user is visiting: each site may have elements like images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that are stored on different servers from that of the site being visited. Cookies are used for different purposes: execution of computer authentication, session monitoring, storage of information on specific configurations regarding the users who access the server, storage of preferences. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from a user’s hard disk nor can it transmit viruses or acquire e-mail addresses. Each cookie is unique for the user’s browser.

9. MANAGING COOKIES THROUGH A BROWSER

Users may revoke consent at any time and with effects on future use by selecting specific browser parameters which exclude the activation of cookies. The methods to do this are as follows:

– Internet Explorer: select Tools/Internet Options, click Privacy tab and move the slider to the desired level of privacy;

– Chrome: select Tools /Settings, click Show Advanced Settings and, under Privacy, click on Content Settings;

– Firefox: select Tools /Options and click Privacy;

– Safari: select Settings > Safari > Block Cookies and choose “Always allow”, “Allow from websites I visit”, “Allow from current website only”, “Always block”.

If users block or delete a cookie, it may be impossible to restore any preferences or personalisations set.

10. TECHNICAL SESSION COOKIES

The use of so-called technical session cookies, which are not stored permanently on users’ computer and disappear when the browser is closed, is strictly limited to the transmission of user session identifiers. They are needed to allow safe and efficient exploration of the website, and are needed to enable and maintain identification of the user throughout the session. In accordance with Article 122, paragraph 1 of the Code, in current formulation following Italian Legislative Decree no. 69/2012 coming into force, these cookies may also be used without the data subject’s consent.

11. CONSENT TO THE USE OF COOKIES

Users give consent to the use of cookies by scrolling the page or clicking on the Close key on the information banner. By not giving consent, third-party cookies, as described below, will be deactivated.

12. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses Personal Data collected to track and examine the use of this site, compile reports and share them with other services developed by Google.

AdWords Remarketing is a Remarketing and Behavioural Targeting service provided by Google Inc. which connects activity on this site with the AdWords (Google Display Network Impression Reporting and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting) advertising network and the DoubleClick Cookie.
